Gel Mani: Tiny Ribbons

Pelicia picked this design out of one of my nail art magazines a month ago, thinking that it was a simple design… Actually, it’s simple enough to execute, but has quite a few steps, so it’s more tedious than it looks!

This design was done on alternating blue and purple bases, using Angel Pro Gelly Polish in #25 and #12 respectively. Then, I painted on thin white lines with Angel Pro Gelly Polish in #47 and thin silver lines with Orly Gel FX in Shine. Next, I painted the tiny ribbons in pink and white, using Angel Pro Gelly Polish in #21 and #47. Finally, instead of using tiny gold studs (as done in the original design), Pelicia opted for gold dots using Orly Gel FX in Luxe.

The great thing about substituting gel polish for actual embellishments is that there’s no worry about the embellishments falling off, or snagging on clothes or hair. It does look a little different, but pretty all the same!
