Artistic Colour Gloss: Antique Finish Roses

Faith requested for swirled roses and actually showed me a picture of a design by Shona (Mental For Polish)… She was surprised to discover that Shona is actually a friend of mine!

In the end, however, I used a different technique for the roses and changed the colour scheme as well. The result:

The base is Artistic Colour Gloss in Posh. Beautiful shimmery taupe/nude! I used the Gelish base and top with this – the two gel polish systems are compatible and in fact produced by the same company, as I mentioned in an earlier post.

Instead of swirling, I painted on the highlights and shadows for the roses. This is a better method for Gelish because the art won’t be as thick as compared to swirled roses and is likely to last longer.
